Christmas Recap - 2009

It's been a while! But there's good reason for that—for the first time in about five years I took some decent time off over the Christmas period and actually RELAXED. No writing, no work, no studying. Just cocktails on the deck, warm summer nights, good food and Cranium with the in-laws. Jen and I drove up to Auckland just before Christmas with a stopover midway in New Plymouth to see Fleetwood Mac – their last show on a 83-date world tour. What an incredible night! A set that lasted two and a half hours, followed by three encores. Magic. Absoloute magic.

Had lunch yesterday with my research paper supervisor and advisor which went swimmingly. It's nice to be able to indulge your excitement about a book that way without someone looking at you like you've lost touch with the REAL WORLD. So yes – studying starts full on again as of today. The first section of the paper is due end of this month so I better get my R into G.

Writing—looking forward to getting back into that too. It's been too long and I have stories to finish.
